When is XtConcordia available ?

You can download our development releases in our download section. We don't consider the development release as stable because not all functions can be controlled for now by using the administration pages. A lot of things have to be changed directly in the database using for example phpMyAdmin. Don't hesitate to try out our development release, because almost every available module has already succesfully been used on real LAN Events up to 500 people !

Once we think we have decent administration modules for all functionalities, we will create our first release candidates until we have a fully functional stable public release. The administration page framework is already in place. Hopefully we can present you around the beginning of 2007 our first real public release !

Do I have to wait for the first file release ?

Well, that depends of your own knowledge. File releases are packages distributed to the public for easy installation. From time to time we can find a developpers release and later on stable releases. If you like living on the edge or want to contribute as a tester/developer, feel free to fetch the latest CVS code. (see also CVS and file releases) As already mentioned, almost every module present in the developer releases are used on real LAN Events and are doing what they supposed to do.

What do I need to run XtConcordia ?

  • a webserver (preferrable Linux or *BSD)
  • PHP 4.x.
  • MySQL 4.x

How do I install XtConcordia ?

File releases can be installed using a simple webpage. You don't have to be a PHP or MySQL expert to work with XtConcordia. It is after all a content management system. Knowledge about using phpMyAdmin can come in handy when using our development release. From the moment our first stable release is available, upgrade packages will be made available too. Until than, upgrades are NOT possible (you can merge your site manually though without many problems).

Can I get support for installation and usage ?
