xtConcordia

XtConcordia is a 'Content Management System' particularly designed to be used by LAN-party organisations. XtConcordia can be used on the Internet to simplify user subscriptions and on the Intranet to manage your own LAN-party event. XtConcordia has been released under the GNU General Public License and is hosted on SourceForge.NET (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/concordia).

xtConcordia version 2 - Next Generation in development !

It's already some time ago we have released a release of xtConcordia on SourceForge, but development took place on our private server. We are working on a new version of xtConcordia which has some major design changes. xtConcordia version 2 makes use of the smarty template engine which gives use the advantage of dividing our project in three major groups, being: code, themes, translations. By changing all this, we hope to get more people involved in using, deploying and developing xtConcordia. In the past it was quiet a hassle to change the theme without disturbing the code ... and the same goes for the translations.

Besides a new version of xtConcordia, we have also created a new version of xtPaydesk which integrates tidely into xtConcordia version 2. xtPaydesk is our proven credit card system (pre-paid) which can be used during your LAN-event to eliminate the need of (small) money. The new paydesk system is totally written in PHP (no more Perl) and uses a simple webserver connection between clients and server. We even got a double paydesk system integration to support "virtual credits". This means the credit card system can also be used (in parallel) for poker tournaments and so on.

Very soon the whole wiki will get updated with new instructions for the installation, configuration and usage of xtConcordia and xtPaydesk. The necessary code is already committed in CVS for both xtConcordia2 and xtPaydesk2. Two development packages are also created containing both programs. We are now converting all modules to the new "version 2" framework. More information about the development can be found under the development section.

United LAN Organisation (ULO)

As you can see the xtConcordia community is growing and people are getting their way to our file download section. We started a project called "United LAN Organisation" which provides a free of charge service for central authentication (single sign-on environment). Gamers who have an ULO account are automatically authenticated to all ULO member sites. The system uses a secured webserver to maintain all user information. For more information concerning ULO, please visit www.ulo.be !
